The last steps were to flood the pond and begin planting. On the left Foreground are Louisianas, center background I. Nelsonii, and right rear some Japanese Iris. In the pond area are some Pennywort, Parrott's Feather and a water lilly ( and a few fish). The first pond maintained itself with no filtration, I am hoping this one will do the same, although I am thinking about a waterfall just for visual effects and a little better oxygenation for the fish. Left to do: Stonework arount the edge, backfill around the stones with dirt, fill in plants to hide the liner, and get some more bog plants!
